What Is Piadina Romagnola
Piadina is the thin, soft flatbread of the Romagna tradition, historically cooked on a hot plate and filled to order with cured meats, soft cheeses and vegetables. Its cultural value is officially recognised: on 24 October 2014 the Piadina Romagnola obtained IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) status, protecting production made in the Romagna territory. The classic recipe of this piadina follows that same Romagna tradition: a supple dough, a light browning in the pan and a fragrance that calls for generous fillings.
