Gorgonzola Dolce Cream Spread - Ready for Sauces and Spreading
Auricchio gorgonzola cream is a smooth, spreadable preparation made with Gorgonzola Dolce DOP, in a practical 150 g tub (case of 12). Pasteurised and creamy, it melts effortlessly into pasta and risotto sauces, spreads onto crostini and tops pizza in the final minutes - the rich, mellow taste of gorgonzola with no crumbling. Refrigerated product. Contains milk.
The Producer
Made by Gennaro Auricchio S.p.A. (Cremona), a historic Italian cheesemaker, under the Giovanni Colombo line. The base is Gorgonzola Dolce DOP from the protected Lombardy-Piedmont area.
Dolce vs Piccante
This is a dolce (sweet) gorgonzola cream: creamy, mild and rounded, ideal for sauces. The piccante version, aged longer, is sharper and more pungent.
Professional Uses
Melt into pasta, gnocchi and risotto sauces (about 60-80 g per portion, loosened with a little milk or cream); spread on crostini and bruschette; finish pizza after baking; or use as a dip for vegetables. Pairs beautifully with walnuts, pears, honey and figs.
How to Use
Warm gently for sauces - do not overheat, or the cream can separate and turn grainy. Keep refrigerated.
Storage and Allergens
Keep refrigerated at 0-4 C. Contains MILK. Can be frozen in portions, but use only cooked after thawing as the texture crumbles.
