What Is the Smooth Gold/Black Cake Board?
The Smooth Gold/Black Cake Board O36 cm is a single-use presentation base for cakes and pastries, made of laminated, plastic-coated paperboard. It has a 36 cm diameter, a smooth (non-fluted) edge and two usable faces, one gold and one black. It is food-contact safe and supplied in professional cases of 10 kg, so a pastry lab always has the right base on hand.
Material and Finish
The board is made of coupled paperboard with a 2400 g/m2 grammage and a plastic coating that resists grease and moisture. The rigid structure supports the weight of multi-layer cakes without bending, while the smooth coated surface keeps the base clean and presentable under creams, glazes and ganache.
