Limoncello Bella Costa: the Italian citrus digestif in a 2-litre professional format
Limoncello Bella Costa is a lemon-peel infusion liqueur at 25% vol., produced by Dilmoor S.p.A. in Pedrengo (Bergamo, Lombardy) and distributed in Switzerland through LAPA. The 2-litre PET bottle, supplied in cases of 6, is built for high-turnover venues: bright yellow colour, intense lemon aroma and a balanced sweet-citrus taste, ready to serve as an after-dinner digestif or to work into desserts, ice cream and cocktails.
What limoncello is
Limoncello is a sweet lemon liqueur obtained by macerating lemon zest in neutral alcohol, then blending it with a sugar syrup. It is the most famous Italian digestif of the southern coast, historically tied to the Gulf of Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, where it has been served chilled at the end of a meal for generations. The colour and aroma come exclusively from the essential oils held in the outer yellow layer of the peel, which is why a good limoncello is judged on the cleanliness and intensity of its citrus note.
The producer: Dilmoor S.p.A.
Bella Costa is produced by Dilmoor S.p.A., a distillery founded in 1950 (originally as Oldmoor Whisky & Co. in Genoa) and based since 2002 in Pedrengo, in the province of Bergamo. Since 2012 Dilmoor has been part of the French La Martiniquaise-Bardinet group, one of Europe's leading wines and spirits companies. The Pedrengo plant produces around 20 million bottles per year and offers more than 200 recipes, combining industrial volume with consistent quality from batch to batch.
Sensory profile
Bright, brilliant yellow in the glass. The nose is dominated by fresh lemon zest, clean and intense. On the palate it is sweet and rounded, with a citrus edge that keeps it from being cloying and a smooth alcoholic warmth at 25% vol. Best expressed ice-cold, when the sugar tightens and the lemon aroma becomes sharper.
Technical specifications
Lemon-peel infusion liqueur, 25% vol., content 200 cl (2 L) per bottle, case of 6 bottles, PET bottle with aluminium cap. Ingredients: water, sugar, alcohol, lemon-peel infusion, natural flavourings. Store at room temperature, away from light and heat sources; shelf life up to 24 months. Alcoholic beverage: sale prohibited to persons under 18, please drink responsibly.
Professional uses in the kitchen and bar
Serve neat and ice-cold (-5/+5 °C) in 4 cl glasses as an after-dinner digestif. Use it as a soaking syrup for babà, sponge cakes and Amalfi-style lemon delizie. Pour a spoonful over lemon sorbet or vanilla ice cream for an instant sgroppino-style dessert. Build citrus cocktails and long drinks, from the limoncello Spritz to a limoncello tonic. The 2 L magnum format keeps the cost per serving low, ideal for venues that pour by the glass all evening.
Pairings
Limoncello pairs naturally with Mediterranean lemon desserts: lemon delizia, caprese al limone cake, lemon tart and lemon-limoncello gelato. As a base it lifts mascarpone creams and tiramisù variations. Behind the bar it matches Prosecco, tonic water and fresh basil for citrus-forward serves.
Delivery and logistics
B2B and B2C delivery throughout Switzerland from the LAPA warehouse in Embrach (Zurich). Ambient distribution by the LAPA fleet across Zurich, Winterthur, Aargau, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Zug and Basel. For Ticino (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno), French-speaking Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne, Sion) and mountain regions (Davos, St. Moritz, Chur), delivery within 24-48 hours via partner couriers (Swiss Post, Planzer, Galliker). As an ambient product, limoncello requires no cold chain and is well suited to stock build-up.
