What sea buckthorn berries are
Sea buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) produces small orange berries known for their tart flavour and exceptional vitamin C content. The berries are harvested ripe, optically selected to remove defects, and individually quick-frozen shortly after picking to preserve their nutritional value without added sugar or preservatives.
Characteristics
Rich in fibre, a source of folic acid and vitamin C, with antioxidant properties. Average nutritional values per 100 g: 59 kcal/247 kJ, protein 0.98 g, carbohydrate 9.7 g (of which sugars 2.5 g), fat 1.78 g. Certified organic (EU Agriculture / RO-ECO).
Professional uses
