Baba 19 Chocolate, rum and hazelnut cream
Baba 19 Chocolate is a single-portion baba, frozen and already decorated, soaked in Jamaican rum and filled with hazelnut cream made with hazelnut paste and fat-reduced cocoa. It is designed for venues that want to offer an indulgent, ready-made dessert without any pastry work. Each carton holds 6 pieces of about 130 g, approx. 800 g net; the product is sold by the pack, not by weight. The weight may vary slightly: it is an artisan product.
The dessert
The baba has the classic mushroom shape, golden on the outside, glossy and well soaked. On top, a wavy line of dark cream forms the decoration, next to a dark chocolate disc bearing the 19 logo and a small pipette inserted into the cake. Inside is the hazelnut cream filling. Each piece rests in its own clear tray and stays intact until service.
Ingredients and allergens
The main ingredients include water, sugar, eggs, type 00 wheat flour, hazelnut cream (with 12% hazelnut paste and 6% fat-reduced cocoa powder), butter and rum liqueur. The rum soak contains alcohol. How to serve
The dessert is frozen. Before serving, simply leave it at room temperature for about one hour. If kept at +4 °C it stays unaltered for 2 days, so you can thaw the pieces planned for service in advance and keep them ready in the fridge. It goes to the table as it is, straight onto the dessert plate. The product is subject to natural weight loss.
