Baba 19 Classic
Baba 19 Classic is a frozen pastry product in single portions: babà dough soaked in Jamaican rum, ready to serve after a short thaw. Each carton contains 6 babà of about 130 g, for a net weight of approx. 800 g. The weight may vary slightly: it is an artisan product. It is the classic version of the Baba 19 line, for anyone who wants a rum dessert on the menu without making it in-house.
The dessert
Each babà has the typical mushroom shape with a golden, glossy surface and sits in its own clear tray. A chocolate disc bearing the Baba 19 logo is placed on top, and every piece comes with a small clear pipette. The dough of eggs, wheat flour and butter is leavened with yeast and soaked in rum liqueur; the recipe also includes a hazelnut cream that pairs with the aroma of the rum.
Ingredients and allergens
The main ingredients are water, sugar, eggs, type 00 wheat flour and butter, together with chocolate, cold glaze, rum liqueur, hazelnut cream, yeast and salt. Allergens: cereals containing gluten, nuts, milk and milk products, soy and soy products, eggs and egg products. The product contains rum liqueur. How to serve
Take only the portions you need out of the freezer and leave them at room temperature for about 1 hour, as stated on the label. Once thawed, the babà is ready: serve it in its own tray or plated on a dessert saucer. Kept at +4 °C, the product stays unaltered for 2 days, so the pieces planned for service can be thawed in advance and held in the fridge. The product is subject to natural weight loss.
