Transparent PVC Cling Film 29 cm x 300 m with Slide Cutter - Ottimo Pro

Professional PVC Cling Film for Catering

Transparent PVC food cling film by Ottimo Pro, supplied as a 300-metre roll with a 29 cm width in a box with slide cutter. This format is engineered for the daily wrapping needs of professional kitchens: covering trays, terrines, gastronorm containers and tableware quickly and practically. The high cling of plasticised PVC seals tightly onto stainless steel, ceramic, glass and plastic surfaces, keeping prepared food fresh in the cold room.

What is professional cling film

Cling film (also called food film, stretch film or pellicola) is a thin plastic sheet used to wrap and protect food. Professional-grade PVC film differs from household versions in roll length (300 metres versus 30-50 metres) and in consistent cling performance across temperatures. It is a core consumable in every HACCP kitchen, used to separate, label and protect mise en place between preparation and service.

Brand and origin

Ottimo Pro is an Italian professional line of single-use and food-packaging consumables. This roll is distributed in Switzerland by LAPA, the Italian food-service wholesaler based in Embrach (Zurich). Country of manufacture: Italy.

Technical characteristics

The 29 cm width with built-in slide cutter makes this reference practical and versatile for covering and sealing containers of various sizes in the kitchen. The 300-metre length means fewer roll changes during a busy service, a measurable time saving for high-volume operations. The transparent finish lets staff identify wrapped contents at a glance, supporting correct stock rotation.

Professional uses in the kitchen

Use this film to cover gastronorm trays and bowls in the walk-in fridge, to wrap individual desserts and plated mise en place, to seal terrines and paté moulds, and to protect cut fruit and garnishes at the cold station. The 29 cm format is suited to pastry labs, gelato shops, restaurants and deli counters for protecting food and products on display trays.

Storage and food safety

Store the roll in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep wrapped food refrigerated at 0-4 °C to maintain the cold chain. Always cut the film cleanly to avoid loose strips near food. As with all PVC food films, avoid direct contact with very hot or very fatty foods at high temperature, and do not use in conventional ovens.

Pairings and complementary products

Combine this cling film with aluminium foil rolls, baking paper, gastronorm containers, disposable trays and vacuum bags to build a complete kitchen-packaging station. For wider coverage of large trays, pair it with the full-width 45 cm professional film references in the LAPA catalogue.

Who it is for

Designed for restaurants, pizzerias, delicatessens, pastry labs, gelato shops, hotels, catering companies, central kitchens and Italian grocery stores, as well as private customers who cook at a high level and want professional-length rolls.
