What is the chanterelle

The chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius), also known as girolle, is one of the most prized and recognisable wild forest mushrooms in the European culinary tradition. Its funnel-shaped yellow-orange cap, decurrent false gills and fruity aroma reminiscent of apricot make it unmistakable.
